AEGIS Shaft Grounding Products for Verticle Motors
Recommendation for
Vertical Hollow Shaft Motors

Insulate top bearing and ground shaft at bottom bearing:

  1. Top Bearing: Insulate shaft with non-conductive coating (i.e. aluminum oxide or ceramic coating). Care must be taken when installing over insulated coating to avoid damage to the coating.

  1. Bottom Bearing: Apply AEGIS™ Colloidal Silver Shaft Coating to shaft. AEGIS™ PN CS015. Install AEGIS™ SGR.

  1. Install AEGIS™ SGR on inside of motor in harsh environments.

NOTE: AEGIS™ SGR is not designed as a lightning protection device.
